We believe this will be one of the purest and most pleasant smelling eucalyptus oils you have experienced.
Certified Organic – We only work with the best, most ethical and sustainable organic farmers in the industry. Every batch is certified organic by ACO
100% Pure (GC/MS Tested) – We use Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry to test EVERY batch of eucalyptus globulus oil (even different batches from the same producer) that comes to us so we can guarantee consistent quality.
Sourced For Quality – We currently harvest from India as opposed to Australia (the native land of the plant), because, quite simply, the oil coming from certain producers there right now is outstanding!
Steam Extracted – We only use eucalyptus globulus that is extracted with steam. We don’t dilute or add parabens, silicone, or any of the other chemicals the “big guys” might use to cut costs and drive up profit.
30 Day Money-Back Guarantee – If for any reason, you’re not satisfied with our oils, let us know within 30 days and we’ll give you a full refund.
Eucalyptus globulus oil is one of the most popular oils for diffusion or to add to a bath, especially when you are feeling a little under the weather or are suffering with a cold or flu. This is because the strong, fresh smell of a pure eucalyptus oil helps to clear the sinuses, focus concentration and energize and lift the mood.
Eucalyptus globulus typically has the highest levels of 1,8-cineole when compared to the other varieties of eucalyptus and this makes it an attractive choice for therapeutic reasons.
The 3 main ways to use our Eucalyptus oil are:
Diffuse – with the use of a diffuser to help clear the senses and purify the air. Asthma sufferers should ensure they are not sensitive to the scent of eucalyptus oil.
Topical – through the use of a carrier oil, although people with sensitive skin might want to carry out a patch test to determine sensitivity.
Bathing – add 2-3 drops to any bath for a safe, calming and indulgent experience.
Household – use in natural sprays
Why We Get Our Oil From India
Eucalyptus is native to Australia so this was the natural starting point for sourcing pure eucalyptus oil, but we had been advised to also consider India as eucalyptus production had really taken off there while it had slowed in Australia compared to what it used to be. Some Indian producers were also apparently creating equal or better eucalyptus oil than their Australian counterparts.
What we found was that in some parts of India, the climate offers the perfect conditions for the production of eucalyptus globulus, with a large emphasis on organic farming practices. Some farms had been in production for over 100 years.
After careful comparison, we decided that India was currently the place to be for eucalyptus globulus oil.
How it’s Extracted
Eucalyptus globulus production in India, tends to be at higher altitudes where the hot, tropical temperature and heavy periodic rain showers are ideal for growth. The soil in these areas is also very fertile meaning the trees get all the nutrients they need from nature alone – exactly how it should be.
Plants tend to be germinated from seeds in the early months before being planted and cultivated at the desired farming location, usually around June-July.
For harvesting, often the workers scale the trees manually and without the use of equipment when collecting the leaves. The distillery is usually not far from where eucalyptus is being grown with distillation taking place shortly after deliver in most cases.
As is the usual case with steam distillation, the leaves are hand-loaded into stainless steel stills. When the still is full, a boiler creates steam from purified water that is gently funneled into the still and the biomass is left for up to 2 hours.
Once the temperature gets close to 100oC, the vapour, which is now a mixture of steam and oil, rises up and passes through the condenser forcing it to cool suddenly, thus forming an oily water solution. A separation chamber then extracts the pure eucalyptus oil from the water.
The pure eucalyptus globulus oil is then held for up to 12 hours while it cools and this allows any remaining water or contaminants to separate from the oil before it is placed in sealed aluminium storage containers ready for shipment.
The most coveted and desired oil is usually that which is collected during the first part of the distillation period although often eucalyptus oil undergoes a second distillation to increase the 1,8-cineole content (for therapeutic use).
Our Commitment to Quality
Every batch of Eucalyptus Globulus oil we receive is tested for purity and quality. Each batch of essential oil can differ, even from the same producer. Because essential oil is extracted from plants, it can be affected by many factors such as the weather, the seasons, and human error… a bit like fine wine.
This is why we carry out batch testing even if the batch is from the same supplier so we can guarantee consistent quality.
The farms we’ve chosen to work with consistently provide incredibly pure, high quality oils. We regularly review our producers with a stringent set of quality guidelines that we’ve developed in partnership with our industry experts and their 20+ years in the industry.
“Even an oil which is quite truthfully described as pure may be of poor quality, and therefore of less value therapeutically. IF AN ESSENTIAL OIL COSTS MUCH LESS THAN YOU WOULD NORMALLY EXPECT TO PAY FOR IT, the oil may well be a third or fourth distillate from a batch of plant material which has already yielded the greater part of its properties to the first or second distillation.”

What We Mean by “Organic”
Our eucalyptus globulus oil is certified organic by Australian Certified Organic (ACO). Certified organic essential oils are derived from plants that have been grown without the use of man-made fertilisers, herbicides or pesticides.
They were instead grown using ecosystem management methods to maintain the health of both plant and soil. There are no inputs such as genetic modification or irradiation. The benefits of organic agriculture include no pollution of the local air or groundwater and no toxic chemicals in the plant or its essential oil.
We make sure we harvest our oil while maintaining the viability of the local environment for future oil harvests.
How We Package Our Eucalyptus Globulus Oil
Our eucalyptus oil is fresh off the still and comes in a 10ML blue glass bottle and is sealed to protect the precious oil within. The bottle also comes with an orifice reducer built in so you can dispense the oil one drop at a time.
During the shipping process, special aluminium canisters prolong and protect the quality of the oil from light and temperature during transit from around the globe and we ensure a quick turnaround time from producer to bottle, with minimal shelf time to maintain quality and purity.
We typically recommend storing your oil at or below room temperature.
The Tests We Run on our Oils To Ensure Quality
All of our oil is constantly tested for purity. The testing provides us with key data about what constituent compounds are in the oils and at what volumes.
Gas Chromatography (GC)
Gas Chromatography (GC) describes the analytical separation technique used to analyze volatile substances in the gas phase. In GC, the components of a sample are dissolved in a solvent and vaporized in order to separate the analytes by distributing the sample between two phases: a stationary phase and a mobile phase. GC provides us key data about what compounds are in oils and how much of each component is present.
Mass Spectrometry (MS)
Mass Spectrometry (MS) is an analytical chemistry technique that identifies the amount and type of individual molecules present in a sample by measuring the mass-to-charge ratio. A mass spectrometer has three essential functions: Ion source, Mass analyzer and the Detector. The Ion source is where the sample is ionized. Once the sample is ionized, the mass analyzer sorts and separates the ions according to the mass and charge. Once the ions are separated and sorted then the separation is measured in the detector where a results chart is displayed.
Refractive Index (RI)
Refractive Index (RI) measures the speed at which light passes through an essential oil. A refractometer is the instrument used to measure the unique number, which is a combination of constituents each essential oil has, that designates how that oil responds and bends light. When an essential oil is adulterated the refractive index will be thrown off.
Eucalyptus is often a bit different to other oils in that the crude oil (first distilled) often yields levels of the main chemical component 1,8-cineole of around 50-70%. This is lower than the requirements set out by various pharmacopoeias – min 70%. If this is the case, the crude oil is usually rectified (distilled again to increase the 1,8-cineole).
Just bear in mind, as the % of 1,8-cineole increases, the other constituents decrease. For the regular home user, this probably either does not matter or you will benefit from the increased 1,8-cineole content of the oil.
The pharmaceutical standard for Eucalyptus Globulus is below but worth noting is it also contains terpenes and alcohols.

A personal message from our founders
Eucalyptus is native to Australia so we were surprised to learn that India seems to be producing outstanding eucalyptus globulus at the time of this writing, with a perfect climate, an emphasis on organic farming practices and 100+ years of experience.
The farm itself is high up in a hot, tropical region of India. I was fascinated to see the the workers scaling the tall trees to pick the eucalyptus leaves with nothing except their hands and feet. The amount of leaves they could collect and the speed at which they carried this out was impressive to say the least.
The human touch was evident at every stage and there was a clear concern for the environment and strict processes to meet organic requirements. I hope when you first open your bottle of eucalyptus globulus oil, that the strong, fresh scent lets you experience a part of the lush, tropical climate from which it originated.
Ultimately we believe that an oil, like the business that stands behind it, should be ethical and be exactly what it says on the tin. That’s why we only use the highest quality eucalyptus oil, with the highest quality extraction methods, and shipped with the highest quality packaging.
It’s also why you won’t see us throwing around buzzwords that don’t mean anything, like “therapeutic grade” or “clinical grade.” When we describe our oils, we mean what we say.
We believe that the more you know about essential oils in general, the more likely you’ll want to become a part of the Sacred Soul community.
If for any reason you’re unsatisfied with our oil, I want to personally invite you to email me and let me know. I’ll be happy to refund your money within the first 30 days of your purchase.
I’m betting my business on the fact that you’ll be blown away by the quality and aroma of our organic eucalyptus globulus oil.
Either way, thanks for stopping by our site and checking us out. We hope every interaction you have with us, in person, or online is positive and memorable. Feel free to drop us a note on our contact page if you have any questions, concerns, or feedback for us.
